The Agenda #13: Uganda Still Trying to Pass Anti-Gay Law

The Agenda with Rebecca Wininger and Kathy YoungOn the show this week The Agenda team – Kathy Young, Rebecca Wininger and Bill Farmer discuss a variety of topics from the new version of the “Kill the Gay Bill” that is trying to be passed in Uganda. While the death penalty may be removed, it is still essentially a death sentence for LGBT individuals in that country.

As the holiday season approaches many are moved to make donations. This leads the topic to the Salvation Army and how a popular LGBT radio host actually was holding a fundraiser for them. The hosts discuss the importance of knowing where your money is going.

This week the Human Rights Campaign released an index that rates cities on their LGBT friendliness. You might be surprised at some that made the list.

The team also announces the recruit and reject of the week.

Join us Wednesday evenings LIVE at 6:30pm PT / 7:30pm AZ.

The Agenda #11: Election Recap

The Agenda with Rebecca Wininger and Kathy YoungOn the show this week Co-Hosts Kathy Young and Rebecca Wininger recap the election. They are joined by special guests Dan Mallar and Bill Farmer. Both Dan and Bill are very active in the Arizona Democratic party. Dan was a delegate at this year’s Democratic National Convention.

The group discusses the results of the Presidential election that saw President Barack Obama win in a very decisive victory and what it means for both parties. Other national races are discussed such as Tammy Baldwin‘s historic win making her the first out Senator. The Arizona races are discussed in detail as well. There were many races still up in the air in Arizona as there were a record number of provisional ballots to still be counted. One question the group had to deal with looking at the results – is the Tea Party dead?

Another big topic of the night was the historic wins for marriage equality in four states.

The week Kathy and Rebecca were feeling too good to award the Reject of the week and instead awarded two Recruits of the week.

Join us Wednesday evenings LIVE at 6:30pm PT / 7:30pm AZ.
